We received an email from one of our suppliers last week. It was the latest in a line from vendors who are raising prices without the customary notice allowing the opportunity to place orders beforehand. All this fuss about what is happening at the gas pump is indicative of what is happening with our economy. Its inflation coupled with a drain of resources to developing countries choking supply. Supply gets tight and prices go up. I am sure that you've received the same notices from just about all of your suppliers.

We have held off as long as we can, but the increases have hit just about every item that goes into our fins - from the high performance polyurethane, the low-magnetic brass bushings and stainless steel screws that hold on our straps, even our award-winning display boxes have gone up in price. However, we will extend the courtesy we always have and allow you to place your seasonal orders and fill-ins at our current - 2005 - prices.

Our price increase will go into effect July 31, 2006. So place your orders now to take advantage of significant cost savings.

Since 1985, we have had a steady climb in business. We're happy to report that all indicators for 2006 are that sales are up in diving, fishing and swimming. May closed with sales back at year 2000 peak. It looks like June is going to be the same. It is so busy here that I've needed to lend my hands in production. Our great production staff, most have been with us for over 10 years, with 4 or

At Force FinŽ, we continue to specify that all materials and components that go into our high performance Force Fins be made in the U.S.A. It is lucky for our military that we decided not to run to

China. The Berry Amendment is now being enforced. The Berry Amendment requires that our government agencies "Buy American". Fins are one of the products targeted under this Act. Of course, we did not need an act of Congress to sell our Force Fins. Force Fins already are the fin of preference for most special operations forces. Its just good to know that our government joins us in support of U.S. industry.

New products are on their way! We've just completed a 5-year project designing a new fin for the U.S. military. You can also see our new Force Fins on Jean Michel Cousteau's Ocean Adventures. The second installment of this highly acclaimed series airs on PBS in July. Our OPS (Oscillating Propulsion System) was made especially for Jean Michel Cousteau and his Oceans Future Dive Team. Once again, Force FinŽ is launching into the fin future!

We appreciate the years of support you have given us by carrying our Force Fin products and look forward to many more years of working with you.

is it 6 hands, now can make our handcrafted fins faster.

Susanne, Chad and Vickie are putting in extra hours in the shipping department, helping to turn our peak season orders quickly too. We consider rapid delivery and shipments packaged to your specifications as important as answering your questions on the phone.

If you are ordering more than 6 pairs consider requesting that we bulk pack your order. That means the fins and award-winning display boxes are stacked flat. You'll have to put the fins in the right box, but significant freight savings can be realized.
