Force Fin Defies Industry Trends


Bob Evans Designs Inc. is happy to announce that Dive Industry trends as highlighted in "Dive Topline Retail Sales Report" by Leisure Trends Group do not apply to Force Fin.

As reported by Leisure Trends Group year to date Dive Equipment sales are up 2.6% over last year. However, during the second quarter of 2004 Dive Equipment Retail Prices are up 8.1% and the overall sales in the dive industry are down 3% as compared to 2003.

As with the report Force Fin sales were also up from last year but that is where the similarities end. Force Fin sales were up not due to inflated prices but due to number of units sold. Overall year-to-date sales are up 6% as compared to the same term of 2003. This increase was reached without raising prices at all during the past few years and without exporting manufacturing to foreign countries. Force Fin is proud to continue all manufacturing within the United States.

September sales were something special for Force Fin getting back to within $10,000 of peak sales for the Company from 1998 to 2000. September closed with sales, overall and within the diving industry, up 40% from last years figures alone. These figures mean great things in the year to come for Force Fin as commented on by Susanne Chess Force Fin, Vice President, "Traditionally, September has served as our base for predicting the following year's trend. We are very happy to see sales going so well and are looking forward to a good year in 2005."

Increased hands on marketing with Force Fin dealers and users by Bob Evans, the consistent quality of Force Fin products, on-going support of Force Fin dealers, word of mouth and excellent internet search engine position, all contributed to the increase in sales.
