Force Fins with winglets! Designers of the fastest moving yachts tested the hydrodynamic characteristics of Force Fins in Boeing’s wind tunnel. Force Fins proved to be the perfect dimensions, shape and configuration to propel a diver without turbulence. One of those designers asked our Master Fin Designer, Bob Evans to make one modification to the Force Fin for the designer’s personal use. Bend the wing tips, just like you now see on aircraft. In fact, this action proved to be part of the chain of art that led to blended wing tips on airplanes, saving fuel since.
